The past few days, I’ve been doing some pretty fun theater related art things. The pictures below are from last night — there was a massive party at the Art Institute and I was one of the performers hired to be Matisse-like. Unfortunately, by the time I thought to take pictures, we had already been working for about four hours so we are sweaty and a little smudged, and many of the performers had removed their makeup. Basically, we did a series of dance movements to represent different Matisse paintings. But at some point, we busted out crazy dance moves and got everyone moving, which was a heck of a lot of fun. But my body feels kind of destroyed from dancing for 4 hours.
Next Saturday, I’m a performer in theĀ DOME of DOOM at Collaboraction’s Carnivale, which means that I will be having gladatorial dance-offs with other performers. I haven’t yet decided on my fighter’s name… If you’re in Chicago, it should be an epic evening.

Gotta love my job.
I’m working on redesigning this behemoth of a website to put more of an emphasis on the gallery and the like with the intention of Being More Serious about Being An Artist. Blagh blagh.
